About Dr. Keyna Schlup, MD
Her Practice
Dr. Keyna Schlup was awarded her MD by the University of Colorado Denver in 2010. She completed her residency in Family Practice at Casper Wyoming family practice in 2013. She has practiced as attending physician at several facilities including Centennial Mental Health and Sterling Regional Medical Center in Colorado, Emmanual Lutheran in Kalispell, as well as continuing to volunteer as senior faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She has worked as Medical Director in several hospice and nursing home settings as well before returning home to Flathead Valley to practice privately as Medical Director for NW Family & Functional Medicine. She excels at innovative management of complex cases, institutional medicine and crisis management using her mathematical engineering brain and extensive experience in both in-patient and out-patient settings.

Dr. Schlup has also taken an interest in complex cases such as Lyme disease, co-infections, MCAS, EDS, PANS/PANDAS, other auto-immune conditions and mold illness. Drs. Barter and Schlup make a very dynamic treatment team, especially for complex cases or those needing IV treatments. She works primarily in a back-office setting performing case reviews, lending an expert hand in medical decision making, creating and sending orders and referrals of all kinds, performing prior authorizations for medications, interfacing with insurance companies, infusion centers, hospitals and other facilities on patients’ behalf.
