B Vitamins - The Key to Energy Production
B vitamins play crucial roles at every stage of cellular metabolism. Notice in the graphic below of energy production that B Vitamins are needed at every step.
The most important energy production cycle, called the Krebs or Citric Acid Cycle, producing 32-34 ATP per "food" fuel molecule takes place in the mitochondria, the powerhouses of the cell. If intracellular levels of any of the co-factors in the chain of chemical reactons that results in energy production are low, whether it be B Vitamins, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Glutathione or CoQ10, energy production suffers and fatigue, lack of stamina, exercise intolerance, cell danger response, and even cellular death can result.
B Complex is a key component of our Myers cocktail, a classic immune and energy boosting IV. However, if you don't have time for an infusion, B Complex can be injected. Absorption of B vitamins is often impaired in people with chronic disease, particularly GI issues. Injecting them can provide rapid improvements in energy.
