Beat Allergy Season to the Punch

Allergy sufferers take notice! Did you know that many clients find they no longer have seasonal allergies when they clean up their diet a bit?

It's true. Many a person who has thought they are allergic to dander, dust mites, ragweed, grass pollen, tree pollen, leaf mold, or whatever else, find they have far fewer allergy symptoms and sometimes complete relief when they avoid a few common culprits.

Guess what they are. You probably eat them every day:

  • Wheat products (pasta, bread, cereals, baked goods)
  • Dairy products
  • Soy products

These foods cause a histamine response and other havoc in many people. We all know histamine is the thing that causes the allergy symptoms. Try avoiding one of these foods before allergy season gets going and you just might not need that anti -histamine.

p.s. Just because your skin-scratch test didn't show an "allergy" to any of these foods doesn't mean they're not part of the problem. Skin scratch testing misses the problem about 80% of the time. Better lab tests show information about "delayed hypersensitivity" reactions, which are the more common culprit in most allergy sufferers.
